Almost there 2

Almost there.

Martin and John, My pocketship is starting to look complete.  Just have to finish the companionway drop boards and she’s finished. Unless I decide to install some lights and navigation aids. ;) Still have to spend 2200$ American 🇺🇸 on the sailing hardware. Already have the sails made in Lunenberg.  Definitely a summer launch this year.  Cheers, See pics.

Painting topsides

Using Petit one part epoxy to paint the white topsides from rubrails up.

Sanding topsides.

Varnishing

Varnishing rubrails, boom gallows, and tabernacle.

Looks ready to launch - not quite.

Last epoxy work done on the companionway hood.  Sanded outside today! March 15. Pretty good.  Assembled all the bits.  Still to do; Glue in portholes, finish drop boards, get the running and standing rigging and attach.  Decide on a motor or no. Final topsides paint and varnish.

Gluing down companionway hood.

Had to do some rasping and sanding to fit the hood properly. Have it glued down.  PS

Fitting tabernacle

It’s been over a year since the last real work on pocketship.  I did have 18 guys over to the house to flip her over back up right and onto the trailer in the fall.   Today taking stock of what’s left to do and fitting the tabernacle.
