3 coats of unthickened epoxy on the undersides of the seat back tops. Now thickened epoxy to glue one side down. 13 drywall screws to hold it and about 12 2 lb lead ignots plus two bags of salt.

3 hours of sanding with 80 grit the bow deck and cabin wall. Not fun. The respirator is a must though. Was still getting in eyes. Need a good pair of safely goggles. I estimate 10 more hours of sanding the bow deck and inside Cabin walls.

Marked the underside of the Seatback tops and trimmed them with a jig saw. This will I hope make the routering easier after they are glued down. Also put 1st coat of unthickened epoxy on the underside of the tops.

Seatback full of floatation foam. Planed the tops. Ready for Tops to be glued down. Just wondering if I should trim them first. There is way too much width and the plans call for routering them to size after glueing.

Unrelated post. Found this record of the measurements for the 3 sails that came with the Cal 27 T2 that we bought two years ago.

Decided to add two more pieces of reinforcement under the cockpit seats. Used Beech again left over from the floors. Ran diagonal strips this time. Note the screws. Was a bit of a hassle getting underneath to do this. Would suggest adding this extra strapping before the plywood is glued down.

Thanks to a new friend and fellow boat builder, Frank Camm, I put some extra Reinforcements in below the cockpit floor just outside the entry way. There didn't seem to be much strength there before. Should be good now. Thanks Frank!

Second coat of epoxy. One more to go. Then sanding.

Finally got out there and fiber glassed the bow deck!  

Had to cut small 3/8th wide pieces to fill in the small gaps at the stern end of the seat backs. Just epoxied them in.
