No Time!!

I was hoping to get more than this done. I'm off to Newfoundland to look into my family boatbuilding past for a few weeks.

last work was to glue up half of the keel. Next need to coat the inside with epoxy and glue up the other side.

When I get back hope to pour the lead.

Found out why Dave had the problem with the curve in the keel. If the blocking goes from 3/4 to 1 and 1/2 up to the centerboard trunk and this is glued flat to the table then there will naturally be a curve. I hope that by putting a wedge under the keel while glueing will solve this....Will let you know!!

What a marvelous noseblock I have planed!!

Last evening milled the blocking for the centerboard trunk, and then glued them. Also cut pieces for the noseblock and glued them up as well. Would be lost without the sander and table saw....next purchase will be more clamps and router.

This is my first post on my blog following the building of my pocketship from plans and kit purchased from Chesapeake Light Craft.

Thought I'd show a couple pics of my trip to Annapolis, Maryland to pick up the kit. The first picture is Times Square, next is the White House, and then the USS Constitution in Boston.
