Storm day scarfing.

Finished  cutting the eight by one for the scarf joints in the mahogany. Mixed up some Epoxy and clamped them together.  One side has two scarfs (three pieces) and the other side has one scarf (two pieces) to get about 16 1/2 to 17 feet lengths. I also chose to scarf them with the natural bend so that it would be bent towards the hull  the whole way along.

Off to Moncton this week to get some African Mahogany.

Waterline struck and first coat.

Figured out how to strike the waterline with the laser level. I just didn’t have the laser level back far enough Then got the first coat done and it looks good so far.  Pettit EZPoxy Electric Sapphire blue with additive. Using roll and tip.
